Things I wish someone had told me:
I. Don’t make a sun out of someone; this will blind your soul before your eyes, will burn every word your lips spill and will fold your heart with every sunrise and sunset. You will end up being dazzled.
II. Don’t make a sky out of someone; with all its grand breadth it will seem so small for you, its stillness will become ruthless for your heart, it will force you to recall all the happy yet painful memories every time you let yourself get lost there for a second. You will end up hating the stars even tho you named them after each other.
III. Don’t make a home out of someone; you will seek refuges in people you don’t even know their names, you will let strangers touch your skin with their fingertips and pretend that you’re home. You will end up wandering mazily the streets wish you didn’t.
IV. Don’t make a God out of someone; you will choke every time you mutter a prayer, you will feel the pain digging in your bones every time you mouth a litany or listen to a hymn. You will end up completely religiously lost.
